In Idyllic Locations

stunning view was enough to want to come back ...

My friends and I stayed here for two nights and we wish we had stayed for longer. The house exceeded our expectations, was beautifully kept and in an excellently secluded location. The rooms are very spacious and we all appreciated having 4 bathrooms at hand during our stay. Waking up in the morning and looking out of the window at the stunning view was enough to want to come back. We all enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider returning in the future.

.. it was lovely to see the autumn colours ...

"We really enjoyed the peace and tranquillity of being at Roebuck Cottage once again. It was so different from our last stay at Roebuck! The weather was very good for this time of year and It was lovely to see the autumn colours appearing in the countryside. We had a lovely holiday as we did earlier this year at the Boathouse and previously at Otter Lodge in October last year. We look forward to many more visits."

home from home ...

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Osprey apartment again. It was so clean and comfortable, really home from home. We had guests this time from Washington DC and they thought it the most beautifully appointed and pleasant house.  Many thanks indeed for another wonderful rest in Scotland."

... lovely walks in Glen Nevis ...

“Thank you for providing everything as listed on your description, the house had everything we needed during our stay. The house was spotless and to find milk and bread on our arrival was brilliant as we had forgotten to pick some up on the way there. in the evenings it was blissfully quiet, we all slept great in the very comfortable beds. A beautiful place with one of the best views we've had from a holiday house. We were privileged enough to see white tailed sea eagles on two occasions! Had lovely walks in Glen Nevis and also around the west coast. Nothing to fault at all, would stay here again sometime hopefully in the near future.”

could best be described as "magical" ..

Roebuck Cottage could best be described as "magical". What a lovely retreat to take in nature, recharge, and get invigorated. Perfect for exploring the Black Isle and parts nearby. Even took a day trip up to John o' Groats, Dunnet Head and Thurso which was a beautiful way to see lovely portions of the Highlands. Our stay was superb. The unit is a duplex and the adjacent guests who were there for a few overlapping days mentioned that they had been returning to the same location for some 15+ years from their home in Kent and it is easy to see why: unimpeded views of the firth, surrounding hillsides, and farm fields. Warm and snug in the ever-present Scottish rains, the cottage is a great place to enjoy hot tea or coffee and watch nature. The upstairs loft is a nice retreat to unplug and just unwind. No real negatives at all about the cottage. We had a party of four and with two and half baths, there was never a problem with morning showers or using the facilities. Idyllic all around. Highly recommend.
