"Compact, clean, modern and exceptionally well-equipped. Perfect for 2-4 people. Two minutes walk from the centre of town, with a great view over the fells to both front and back. Loads of walks right on the doorstep, from easy to challenging. The only downside not mentioned in the property description, which is otherwise scrupulously accurate, is that it is located on the main through traffic route, which might put some people off, though it did not bother us. In any case, there is little traffic after 10pm. We never had a problem finding on-street parking opposite or close to the property, though this might be different in summer. The nearest car park is two minutes walk away, and the hosts provide a free parking pass."

"Fantastic location in a lovely little town - you can step out of the door and be up on the fells in a few minutes, but are also well-connected to reach the wider Dales or even the Lake District in a short time by car. "We had an amazing week away from everything in Troutsdale. The cottage is situated in the bottom of a beautiful valley. We visited during autumn and the colours were amazing. The cottage is much larger than the pictures show. We had everything we needed, including a great kitchen for cooking meals. The living area is really cosy and great for watching TV or reading. The bed was comfortable and the bedding was really warm, boosted by the under floor heating. We had a couple of messages with Christina who responded quickly. All in all it was a great week and I would highly recommend staying here."
