Overlooking Munlochy Bay on the southeast side of the Black Isle, the cottages command superb views across the bay and the forested hills and farmland on the south shore, with the mountains of Strathconon in the distance. Well off the beaten track, and in quiet rural surroundings but within a short drive of Inverness, Bay Farm is a haven for birdwatchers and nature lovers. Swallow Cottage is a delightful cottage that offers open plan, spacious and bright living accommodation. This self-catering cottage has one king en-suite bedroom and one twin en-suite bedroom, sleeping four guests. The accommodation is principally on the ground floor and is fully accessible by wheelchair. Layout: The open plan living room is bright and airy, with comfortable sofas to sit and admire the views across Munlochy Bay. There is a dining table and six chairs. The French windows lead out to the patio, with timber garden furniture, and stunning views. The spacious, open plan kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, freezer, microwave oven, electric oven and hob, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, washer/dryer. The double bedroom comprises king-size bed and plenty of hanging and drawer space. Lovely views over the bay. The en-suite bathroom has a bath with shower, wash hand basin, and W.C. The twin bedroom has two single beds, and sufficient hanging and drawer space. The en-suite bathroom comprises a bath with shower, wash hand basin and W.C. Stairs lead from the lounge to the Mezzanine floor: A bright sun lounge, you can enjoy lovely sea views over the bay from the large roof windows. The outdoor patio area has timber garden furniture and boasts spectacular views of Munlochy Bay and the mountains of Strathconon. Plenty of parking is available in the car park at the side of the cottages. Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome. Heating and electricity included in your rental. We provide all bedding, bed linen and towels, TV, and WiFi (subject to fair usage policy). A superb location, lovely bed linen.. A few more hangers would be good especially if one is staying for a fortnight. Also the bath towels are not really large enough. Your housekeeper was very kind and helpful and the place was presented to a high standard on arrival and again at the changeover mid stay.. The welcome pack was a lovely kind thought and much appreciated. We would happily and unreservedly recommend the company and the property to anyone for a wonderful place to holiday. S. G. I had a problem with the electrics in the cottage.. The dishwasher didnt work and we had to use the cottage next door. I contacted my phone carrier in NYC to get an international plan on my phone as there was no WIFI. When I went into the other cottage to use the dishwasher I discovered there was WIFI and used the key to access my email. None of this was given to us upon entry to the cottage, S. H. The view and overall setting - so lovely to be miles away from life and have an uninterrupted view. The cottage was warm and cosy and the goat which the children have named Stravinsky (?) kept the children amused and enjoyed coming on our walks. Have booked again for next year as just the perfect holiday setting for our family. Only part of the cottage I could find fault with was the mattress in the master room - too soft and we would just roll into the centre of it which wasn't terribly comfortable. Oh and no instructions for the sky tv - really didn't get the hang of it even after a week. M. Unique situation and comfort of the cottage, which was obviously converted to the highest standard. We hope to be back another year. Personally, I would have liked some summer-weight bedding. As confirmed self-caterers we find the microwave a complicated challenge. and the oven begins to feel its age - door doesn't close properly? B. C. The deposit paid to confirm the booking, and other monies paid, will only be refunded if the Owner is able to re-let the holiday cottage for the period of the holiday let. In the event of re-letting, the Owner will retain the sum of 100GBP to cover administrative costs and (subject to deduction of that sum) refund to the Holidaymaker the balance of monies received from the Holidaymaker, or the sum received from re-letting whichever sum shall be the lower. Every effort will be made to re-let a cancelled booking, but the Holidaymaker is advised to take out holiday insurance to cover that eventuality.
