We love the remote and picturesque location and returning to familiar accommodation. Yet within easy reach of so much of the highlands. |

Swallow Cottage is beginning to look a bit dated inside (compared with other holiday cottages we have stayed in recently) and would benefit from a revamp. The beds in Roebuck cottage have been replaced making a firmer comfortable sleep, we feel that Swallow cottage would also benefit from this. Whilst there we reported an issue with the slow draining of the double bedroom on suite and a possible leak. |

The house is in a very peaceful location away from the city but near enough to all facilities from the country to the coast. The location enables one to see wildlife from the ospreys and red kites in the bay, the seal colony on the sandbanks and the variety of birds that visit the garden including the woodpeckers. This is why we return year after year. |

Giant size bath towels would be nice! However, not vital :). ! Thank you. |

wonderful location, lovely house, the only not so good thing was the shower in the second bedroom, as it was in the bath and very tight. apart from that , wonderful |

Always clean and well equiped. Lovely place to be, couldn't ask for a better holiday home. Always love the welcome pack for a cuppa when you arrive. Brilliant location with beautiful views. |

I have been to these cottages before they are well equipped and have a lovely view over the loch. It is also very quiet and peaceful and we were lucky and had a couple of sunny days |

This time we were a bit disappointed that when we arrived the hot water was not switched on seemingly the large tank of water heats up overnight and it turned out that there was a fault with a switch for the small tank. After phoning Gillian to let her know she came out very promptly to see us and arranged for a plumber to come that night to fix it which he did.These things happen I suppose but it means your holiday doesnt get off to a good start |

The peace and quite. |
|
The road to the property is potholed some of which are deep.
Eventually a guests car will be damaged if the road is not repaired.
The kitchen area is a little dated particularly the work surfaces. Kitchen cupboard storage for guests supplies is also a little limited. |

it was so lovely to have such a comfortable cottage with such a great view. You so often get one without the other so to have both was fabulous. The cottage was very well looked after and maintained and equipped to a very high standard. Had everything I needed.

One small thing. The people staying at Roebuck during my middle week had thee dogs with them. They were very well behaved and friendly dogs but the owners didn't always pick up after them. Not quite sure which dog or which owner but I ended up picking up after a big pile was left outside the on the gravel. To be honest it was hard to miss, so whether they just didn't see it I don't know but a quick walk around the buildings would have been an idea. Also if you walk up the track there are lots of dog piles where owners have not picked up. Just wanted to mention it otherwise all else was great.

Excellent. |

Might be worth checking the distribution of pans/ crockery etc between the 2 houses at the end of the season. We thought some pans in particular had migrated from Swallow to Roebuck. |

It was very comfortable and welcoming. The road leading to the cottage would have been a lot better minus the potholes which were a bit daunting with a hired car (worry about potential damage), although this would be the same with a private car. |

They were fine, esp the welcoming tea things when we went in - much appreciated. |
