Manor House Farm is the larger house section of a refurbished Grade II listed farmhouse set in the heart of the picturesque North Yorkshire countryside.
Located between the seaside town of Scarborough and the village of Snainton, in the North York Moors National Park, it is ideally situated for peace and tranquillity, as well as for plenty of activity in nearby towns and villages.
Practically no light pollution means amazing dark skies for all you stargazers too!
Beautifully renovated, this cottage comprises a living room, dining room, kitchen, three Bedrooms, three Bathrooms and a large garden.
Layout:
Ground Floor entrance hall left into a lovely, bright living room with sofa, armchairs, coffee tables, window seat, and Freeview TV.
An open doorway leads into the dining room with table and seating for six guests.
A door from the dining room leads to a Kitchen, which includes a fridge/freezer, electric oven and hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, and washer/dryer. The kitchen is well-equipped for preparation, cooking and serving meals for six guests.
The back door (in the kitchen) opens to the back garden and drive.
The bedroom (downstairs) has a double bed, bedside cabinets, wardrobe, and a window seat.
There is a Bathroom right next to this bedroom comprising a shower, wash hand basin and W.C.
A back hallway leads to the dining room.
First Floor has a double bedroom with king-size bed, bedside cabinets, wardrobe, dressing table. The en-suite bathroom comprises bath, wash hand basin, and W.C.
There is also a twin bedroom with two single beds, wardrobe, bedside cabinets, and dressing table.
The family bathroom has a shower, wash hand basin, and W.C.
There is a large garden at the front, side and back of the house, which is enclosed with wall, fence, and a gate. There is also plenty of parking space on the drive at the back of the cottage.
Heating and electricity included in your rental. We provide all bedding, bed linen and towels, TV, and WiFi (subject to fair usage policy).
Dogs are welcome at an added fee of £20 per dog.
Please note: Gardens/Outside areas not necessarily dog proof, even if fenced/walled, so dogs must be kept under control at all times, especially near farm animals.

The farm house was in a lovely quiet location which was exactly what we wanted. It was brilliant to find somewhere great for all the family including our two small dogs. It was really close to Scarborough and the surrounding coastlines which made day trips convenient.

We Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this peaceful haven. We had one problem with hot water which was immediately rectified by a phone call. Honestly we could recommend manor house farm to anyone who likes a beautiful peaceful setting.

Location, ideal for visiting our grandson on placement from university.
We were family of six,
daughter,son in law 13yr and 19yr old grandsons, nan and grandad,
Buddy the dog.
Light bulbs need checking, some lamps didn't work. beds need summer Duvet's on in July! all bed linen lovely but too warm for us.water cut out some mornings,maybe due to everyone showering.
Really pretty cottage would love to stay again. home from home.😊

Loved the gift of wine and chocs - much appreciated. The quiet country location suited us well. All three ladies in the party were pleased with their rooms and the accommodations overall.
One thought we had was that a hook behind the doors would have been useful to hang a dressing gown on, both in the bedrooms and bathrooms. We also were confused about the availability of hot water. One of our ladies likes to have a bath (she is not extravagent with the water) and she found that the hot water was soon depleted. Anyone taking a shower after that had to wait until there was hot water again. We thought perhaps it was on a timer.

The most beautiful cottage in a breathtaking location. Absolutely loved our stay and will definitely return. We had a couple of issues which were resolved by Country Cottage Holidays immediately and without question. The only thing we would find off putting is the adjacent cottage. It was unoccupied whilst we were there, but if it had been and they had had a dog, it could have caused problems as there is only a gate separating the two gardens at the front. Other than that, full marks!
Make sure that guests with dogs know that the garden isn't enclosed as one of ours nearly got over the low wall onto the road. It was also difficult to be 100% sure that we had removed all traces of our dogs from the garden as the grass was very long, but this was probably due to weather conditions prior to our stay.

The house is absolutely lovely, really nicely decorated and furnished and in the most wonderful location you can imagine - fabulous views of the countryside from all the windows and blissfully quiet. It is really well equipped, cosy and comfortable, and I have never had such gorgeously luxurious duvets - ever! There were also some really nice and very welcome touches - such as shower gel and hand wash left in all the bathrooms - not usual for rented cottages. I would definitely and whole heartedly recommend a stay here and we definitely plan to return. Thank you
Just one tiny thing - the water cut off one night and it was sometimes a little luke warm, but not a major problem and fixed after a quick call to the manager.

The cottage was beautifully equipped, in a gorgeous rural setting. We called the managers with a few queries when we arrived and they were extremely pleasant and helpful. The welcome wine and chocolates were a lovely touch.
We felt a little cramped when all five of us were sitting together in the living room at night, and think the layout would be better if knocked through to dining room or downstairs bedroom. Also we missed having a wood burning stove and were surprised that the cottage did not have one given its overall luxurious standard.

We loved the cottage and would love to come back.
There were problems with the water supply and the fuses went but we had a lot of help with this and understand the water is to be improved. The only thing that let it down was a very strong smell either from the silage or the cows which meant there were a lot of flys in the house.
Cancellation: The Holidaymaker is liable for the total hire charge unless written notice of the intention to cancel the booking is received at least eight weeks prior to the commencement of the holiday. The deposit paid to confirm the booking, and other monies paid, will only be refunded if the Owner is able to re-let the holiday cottage for the period of the holiday let. In the event of re-letting, the Owner will retain the sum of 100GBP to cover administrative costs and (subject to deduction of that sum) refund to the Holidaymaker the balance of monies received from the Holidaymaker, or the sum received from re-letting whichever sum shall be the lower. Every effort will be made to re-let a cancelled booking, but the Holidaymaker is advised to take out holiday insurance to cover that eventuality.
