The Smithy is an old blacksmith's workshop which has been lovingly refurbished into a cosy two-bedroom traditional stone cottage. It is across a narrow country road from our Manor House Farm and Cottage, in the heart of the picturesque North York Moors National Park. Surrounded by the beautiful scenery of Troutsdale and located between the seaside town of Scarborough and the village of Snainton, it is ideally situated for peace and tranquillity as well as for lots to see and do in nearby towns and villages. Practically no light pollution means amazing dark skies for all you stargazers too!
Beautifully furnished, this cosy self-catering cottage has one double bedroom, and one single bedroom, sleeping three guests.

Layout:
The Smithy accommodation is entirely on the ground floor, making it accessible for those with limited mobility.
There is a comfortable living room, with French windows opening onto the large patio and surrounding countryside. The fully fitted dining kitchen includes a fridge/freezer, electric oven and hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, and washer/dryer, and is well-equipped for preparation, cooking and serving meals for three guests.
The master bedroom has a king-size bed, bedside cabinets, wardrobe, and chair.
The single bedroom contains a single bed, bedside cabinet, and chest of drawers.
The family bathroom comprises a shower, wash hand basin, W.C., and heated towel rail.
All rooms have amazing views.

There is also a large outdoor patio/paved seating area with garden furniture, and wonderful views over the countryside.

Heating and electricity included in your rental. We provide all bedding, bed linen and towels, TV, and WiFi (subject to fair usage policy).
Dogs are welcome at an added fee of £20 per dog.

Please note: Gardens/Outside areas not necessarily dog proof, even if fenced/walled, so dogs need to be kept under control at all times, especially near farm animals.

Booking Cancellation Policy
Cancellation: The Holidaymaker is liable for the total hire charge unless written notice of the intention to cancel the booking is received at least eight weeks prior to the commencement of the holiday. The deposit paid to confirm the booking, and other monies paid, will only be refunded if the Owner is able to re-let the holiday cottage for the period of the holiday let. In the event of re-letting, the Owner will retain the sum of 100GBP to cover administrative costs and (subject to deduction of that sum) refund to the Holidaymaker the balance of monies received from the Holidaymaker, or the sum received from re-letting whichever sum shall be the lower. Every effort will be made to re-let a cancelled booking, but the Holidaymaker is advised to take out holiday insurance to cover that eventuality.
Booking Modification Policy
Any amendments made to the reservation, after the booking has been issued, will incur a 25GBP administrative charge.
