Thwaites Cottages are three secluded luxury cottages
converted from the original Thwaites farmhouse
and barns in 2006. All the cottages have lovely views from
most windows and are part of the Scargill Estate which is
situated in the beautiful countryside of Teesdale,
three miles south of the A66 near Barnard Castle.
The Estate comprises of attractive moor and wood land featuring
abundant wildlife of special interest to bird enthusiasts.
There are many attractive walks on the moor and along the
River Greta through a deciduous woodland
ghyll.
The three cottages are all well equipped providing home comforts
ideal for families and couples alike.
There are many nearby local
attractions and activities with a good choice of pubs
and restaurants in and around the local villages and Barnard
Castle.
